Di Provinsi Lampung tidak banyak perguruan tinggi yang membuka prodi PGSD, selain Universitas Lampung (UNILA) terdapat satu perguruan tinggi swasta yang membuka Prodi PGSD yaitu STKIP AL ISLAM TUNAS BANGSA Prodi PGSD di STKIP AL ITB ini sudah terakreditasi dan telah melaksanakan wisuda, selain prodi PGSD, terdapat juga Prodi Pendidikan Guru PAUD (PG PAUD) dan juga Prodi PENJAS, seluruh Prodi sudah terakreditasi BAN PT. Selain menerima mahasiswa reguler juga menerima mahasiswa konversi. STKIP Al Islam Tunas Bangsa berharap dapat menciptakan guru yang professional, kompetitif, dan handal. Dan sesuaidengan nilai-nilai islami.
